Homeownership Program Application Cycle - Opening Soon!

Staff and Volunteers at Chippewa Valley Habitat for Humanity are preparing to open the next pre-application cycle for the Homeownership Program! CVHFH will be seeking a new partner homeowner for our upcoming build, located in New Auburn, WI this fall. The application cycle will be open from August 1 - 31, 2025. We will post a notification on our website as well as on our Facebook page when the applications are available - so keep an eye out!

How It Works

• Applications for the Homeownership Program will be available from August 1 - 31, 2025.
• Applications are due by 11:59 PM on August 31, 2025.
• The Homeowner Selection Committee will begin reviewing all applications on September 1, 2025. Applicants will be contacted during the month of September to discuss their applications and meet with the Homeowner Selection Committee.
• The Homeowner Selection Committee will work internally to approve the new partner homeowner; applicants will be notified by September 30, 2025 of their application status.

Tips

• CVHFH keeps costs low by utilizing local partnerships, donated materials, and volunteer labor - the Homeownership Program aims to help families and individuals obtain a more affordable conventional mortgage than what is available on the open market. On the application, Section 5.1 asks that you obtain and provide a loan pre-approval from your preferred lending institution.
• To help your application process go smoothly, please provide both proof of income and loan pre-approval documentation with your application submission.
