Women Are Heroes Too

The Women Build isn’t just about constructing homes – it’s about building futures and breaking down barriers. Here’s why this initiative is so important:

  1. Supporting Affordable Housing: By volunteering their time and skills, women contribute to the construction of affordable homes for families in need, helping to address the housing crisis in our community.
  2. Creating Lasting Impact: When women come together to build, they create more than just houses – they create homes where families can thrive and build brighter futures.
  3. Empowering Women: The Women Build provides an opportunity for women to learn construction skills, gain confidence, and take on leadership roles in traditionally male-dominated fields.
  4. Fostering Community: The Women Build brings together women from diverse backgrounds and organizations, fostering a sense of community and solidarity as they work towards a common goal.
  5. Celebrating Women’s Contributions: The Women Build honors the countless contributions of women to Habitat for Humanity and the broader community, highlighting their invaluable role in creating positive change.

The Women Build was erected in Menomonie, WI in late 2023 with ongoing build groups contributing regularly. We need to continue to keep the momentum to ensure a timely completion. If you are interested in volunteering in support of the Women Build, use this link (https://cvh4h.volunteerhub.com/vv2/ ) to sign up. Search Menomonie Faith | Women Build for volunteer events. If you are interested in scheduling a group build event, please email volunteer@cvh4h.org

Together, we’re not just building houses – we’re building a better future for everyone. Thank you to all the amazing women who are making Women Build possible!

Why Your Donations Matter

It’s the donors, corporate sponsors and volunteers that help Chippewa Valley Habitat serve families – not by giving them a handout, but instead a hand up.

This is why no gift is too small. Even $5 every month makes a difference. With your contributions, we put the tools in families’ hands to be successful homeowners.

We’re proud of the fact that 92 cents of every dollar donated goes to Chippewa Valley Habitat programs that advance our mission.

High charity and financial health ratings from independent organizations are proof that your support is used efficiently and effectively. Greater Chippewa Valley Area Habitat for Humanity has a GuideStar Platinum rating, the program’s highest distinction.

We also have a four-star Charity Navigator rating, the program’s highest rating, and have met all 20 standards of the BBB Wise Giving Alliance.
